Cookie Policy
Last Updated: May 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how Snipz AI (operated by Nexaura Studios) uses cookies and similar browser technologies. We believe in radical transparency — here's exactly what we use and nothing more.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a web browser when you visit a website. We also use browser localStorage — similar technology that stores data on your device without expiry (until you clear your browser data).
2. Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary
These are required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled:
- PHP Session Cookie (
PHPSESSID): Maintains admin login sessions. Only active when logged into the admin panel. Regular visitors receive no session cookie. - CSRF Token: A security value included in forms to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks. Not stored as a traditional cookie.
Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We use GA4 to understand how visitors use Snipz AI. GA4 sets:
_ga— Distinguishes users. Expires after 2 years._ga_XXXXXXXX— Persists session state. Expires after 2 years.
These cookies collect anonymized data only — pages visited, session duration, device type. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. localStorage (Not Cookies)
Snipz AI uses your browser's localStorage for:
- Bookmarks: Tools you save are stored locally in your browser. This data is never sent to our servers.
- Theme Preference: Your dark/light mode choice persists between visits without any server involvement.
Clear localStorage via your browser's developer tools (F12 → Application → Local Storage) or by clearing all browser data.
4. What We Do NOT Use
- ❌ Advertising or retargeting cookies
- ❌ Cross-site tracking pixels or scripts
- ❌ Social media tracking cookies
- ❌ Browser fingerprinting
- ❌ Third-party data brokers or cookie networks
5. Affiliate Link Tracking
When you click an affiliate link, we log the click in our own database (tool ID, timestamp, anonymized IP). The destination site may set its own affiliate cookies — those are governed by their cookie policy, not ours.
6. How to Manage Cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions
Note: Blocking all cookies may prevent the admin panel from functioning correctly.
7. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy as our platform or legal requirements change. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
