  • Interaction Data: Tool likes and star ratings are linked to your IP address solely to prevent duplicate votes. No personal profile is created.
  • Tool Submission Data: If you submit a tool, we collect the tool name, website URL, category, description, and contact email for review purposes only.
  • Browser Storage: Your bookmarks and theme preference (dark/light) are saved in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device type, and referring URL — collected for security and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To run and improve our curated AI tools directory for video editors
  • To track tool popularity (clicks, likes, ratings) for editorial curation
  • To process and review tool submissions
  • To understand overall site traffic and improve performance via GA4
  • To prevent abuse (rate limiting, spam detection via IP)

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

4. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Sites

Many tool listings include affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Our affiliate disclaimer appears in the footer of every page.

Once you leave Snipz AI and visit a third-party website, their own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., category traffic percentages) may be used for editorial insights. Individual data is never shared with advertisers.

Usage data flows to Google Analytics servers under Google's own privacy terms.

6. Data Retention

  • Analytics data: Up to 26 months via GA4 default settings.
  • IP-based votes: Stored in our database without personal identifiers. Used only to prevent duplicate submissions.
  • Tool submissions: Retained until reviewed and actioned (approved or rejected).
  • Bookmarks: Stored in your browser's localStorage — clearing browser data removes them instantly.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & Indian IT Act)

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request what data we hold related to your submissions or interactions.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of a submission you made or data tied to your IP.
  • Opt-Out: Opt out of GA4 analytics tracking at any time.

Snipz AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

We implement industry-standard security practices including CSRF protection on all forms, input sanitization, HTTPS enforcement, and rate-limited admin access. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
